This qualification forms part of a progressive suite of prehospital care that leads to QA Level 6 Diploma in Paramedic Practice. Endorsed by the Faculty of Pre-hospital care - The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and fulfilling the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, the qualification is perfect for a range of roles in emergency care, such as Event Medical Responders, Emergency Care Support Workers and more. Area's covered include: -The Roles & Responsibilities of a First Responder -Patient Assessment -Airway Management -Emergency Oxygen -Traumatic Injuries -Neck, Spine & Pelvic immobilisation -Catastrophic Bleeding -ROSC Procedures The course is divided into three modules: - First Response Emergency Care - First Response Emergency Care of Trauma - First Response Emergency Care of Medical Conditions Delivered over 5 days, the course uses a range of assessment methods to test competency and provides a highly engaging and practical training experience.
